The GroupMates is a fast-rising online reality contest for the average youth of this digital age. It is a platform targeted at helping young adults realize and showcase their skills, know how to research on social media, create content, interact and build on their communication skills. All increasingly important skills to have in these current times.

25 individuals from various backgrounds and locations are remotely brought together yearly on a whatsapp group, to participate in a series of carefully curated tasks and events for a chance to win the Grand Prize and loads of other fabulous prizes during the course of the show.

Founded by Desire TV in 2020, The GroupMates was initially designed as a means for the public to cope with the Covid 19 lock-down protocols. After the success of the first season, a sequel was introduced to the public in November 2021 which also raked in massive traffic and interactions with the national audience. A new season is set to launch in 2024, packed with more dramatic, twisted and definitely enthralling content to match its Grand Prize.
